Demonstration  watercolour on handmade 2 rivers paper  30 x 21cm

“Rusty Padlock” is a smaller and tighter cropped version of a painting called “Worn Out”. The subject is a small door found on the capitol of Malta, Valetta. Tucked out of the way near the entrance gate to this city, the subject could easily go unnoticed amongst the many doors and windows littered with amazing texture and architectural features.  This painting itself has all the hallmarks of an image that could be closely identified as a painting by Angus. It has a blue door, a rusty padlock, lots of texture including a rough stone wall and lots of detail. His intention with this course is to provide students with the necessary information to produce a painting of this subject matter which has all the quality and detail you would expect from a painting by Angus. His step-by-step course will lead you from the drawing to the last detail through a series of 11 videos and numerous pdfs and narrated PowerPoints. If you have ever wondered how Angus creates these iconic door paintings, then right now is the time you get to have the opportunity to discover the methods and thought processes behind these signature paintings.
